Dear Parents and Carers

I have the huge privilege of being the recently appointed Chair of Governors at Heworth Grange. I am very excited at the prospect of helping our school achieve its ambitions over the next few years, working with the headteacher, the whole school team as well as our partners within the Consilium Trust. I am also excited to meet students, parents, carers and other school partners within our community in the near future.

While I do not currently live in the North East, I spent two periods of time living and working in the area and have a great fondness for it. I am really looking forward to spending more time there now that I am part of the Heworth Grange community.

Heworth Grange is a school with the potential and ambition to be amazing. I and the rest of the governors are committed to helping it achieve that potential so that every young person has the best possible education they can get. We believe completely in the importance of education in its fullest sense, the subjects and lessons, but also the moral, cultural, sporting, arts, science and other experiences that enable us to become informed and active citizens.
