Amelia M in year 7 took part in 2 separate swimming gala weekends over the Easter holidays.

First up was her home gala at Dunston pool. She was awarded 2 Golds, 1 Silver and a Bronze medal. She took 9 seconds off her 200m breaststroke personal best, getting a gold, snatched silver in the 100m butterfly, then took home 2 bronze medals for the 200m freestyle and 200m butterfly for her age category.

Then it was on to a weekend of swimming at Chester-le-Street where, again, she had an amazing set of swims to achieve 3 Gold medals and another Bronze. All swims recorded a set of personal bests.

Along with all Amelia's family and friends, everyone here at Heworth Grange is extremely proud of her! Well done Amelia!
