Letter to Parents/Carers 23/02/2021
Dear Parent and Carer
You will be aware from last night’s news that we have now received the guidance from the DfE on the re-opening of schools to all year groups from 8th March.
I am sure you can appreciate that there is a lot to plan and organise in order to achieve what we want to ensure we can welcome back students safely and calmly. Over the next couple of days, we will be working on the details which I hope to share with you at the end of the week.
Please be aware that like other Gateshead schools it is likely to mean a staggered return in the first week as the requirement for testing means we will need to manage capacity.
In addition, there have been some adjustments to the requirements for safety controls in school and we will be updating you and students on these changes prior to the return of our young people to school.
In the meantime, it is very important that students continue to engage fully in their online lessons and I want to thank you all for your continued efforts in supporting our students with their learning at home. The end is in sight and hopefully we will be returning to normal in the not too distant future.
Yours sincerely
Headteacher
Allie Denholm
