On Friday night 23 of our year 8’s attended a celebration event held at the BALTIC.  There were around 200 people there including pupils, teachers and parents from three different schools there: ours, Cardinal Hume and Joseph Swan and staff from the BALTIC.

During the evening two groups of our pupils did short presentations on the projects they have been involved in over the past 18 months of the Creating Change project – Young Ambassadors and Fearless Futures.  They did an amazing job confidently talking to a room full of people explaining what they had done and what they had got out of being part of the project.  The film they created last year on inequality was also shown.

All of the pupils involved were also presented with either Bronze Arts Awards or graduation certificates for ‘being fearless’ for the Fearless Futures girls by the director of BALTIC.

It was a fantastic evening seeing our pupils representing our school and being recognised for their hard work, effort and all-round awesomeness
