The National Breakfast Programme

Dear Parents/Carers,

The National School Breakfast programme is a major Government initiative launched to ensure that all school aged children have access to a breakfast each day. We are aware that for many of our students this is something that can be provided at home on a daily basis. In order not to make any distinction between our students, we have been able to secure breakfast provision to cover every student throughout the school in Years 7 – 13.

Eventually, the intention is to ensure that students will simply be able to choose to have the breakfast provided at the canteen free of charge to everyone, but COVID restrictions have meant that this won’t be possible at the moment. So, to ensure that our students don’t miss out on this opportunity, we have started the initiative with years 7, 8, 11 and 13 by giving them their breakfasts to take home. Inside this pack you will find 10 days’ supply of breakfasts in the form of 5 bagels and a large pack of cereal. These will be distributed every fortnight until we are able to provide them via the canteen.

We hope that your child enjoys these breakfasts but we are also aware that not every parent may wish to join in this scheme – If you would not like to take part in it in the future, please keep the initial breakfast pack and click the button below. Fill out the slip at the bottom of the letter, then give it to your child to return to their advisor.

Yours faithfully,

Mr M Searles
