After last week’s session making phases of the moon from Oreo biscuits, the Y10 APP got close up a replica of the real thing. Using images captured by the NASA Lunar Reconaissance Obiter, this 7 meter diameter replica showed us the volcanos, valleys and seas of our closest neighbour.
We also visited the Planetarium to see the effect the moon has upon the Earth and – with time to spare – investigated the quirks of the brain that make us, us.
As usual this was a stimulating visit that raised a lot of questions for our APP group!
