- Resolving conflict
- Teamwork
- Presentation skills
- Understanding and processing complex information.
Challenge Brief -
The challenge wass for the students to design a secure locker that a drone could deliver a package to. The locker needed to be designed so that the package, once dropped off by the drone, is secure from theft, kept dry and accessible only by the customer, who will have been sent a code.
The students had to consider possible adaptations to the drone that would allow it to identify its position in relation to the individual locker doors, to the way the drone drops the package and how it would avoid people/objects whilst in the vicinity of the locker.
Some of the things the teams had to consider were:
-Material (weather conditions),
-Height (some may find it hard to bend down, or if too high not be able to reach.
The pupils embraced the challenge and came up with incredibly creative designs.
The winning team now have the opportunity to visit Amazon and gain an exclusive, behind the scenes look at the workings of this organisation.
