At Heworth Grange, we are committed to supporting all students with their mental health and wellbeing. All Year groups have ‘emotional well-being’ as part of their PSE course, where different aspects of dealing with stress and staying emotionally healthy are dealt with.

If you have concerns and fears relating to your parents divorce click on ‘Child Aid’ button at top of the home page and then go to the Child or Teenager section as appropriate.

Hope is a registered UK charity that since 2009 has been supporting young people aged 5 to 25 when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, such as cancer, Covid-19 or other disease.

Calm Harm is an app designed to help people resist or manage the urge to self-harm. It’s private and password protected.
eQuoo: Emotional Fitness Game: Free, with in-app purchases
The eQuoo app uses adventure games designed by psychologists to help you increase your emotional fitness and teach you new psychological skills. You’ll also find tips on how to communicate more effectively and maintain your mental wellbeing.

Stress & Anxiety Companion helps you handle stress and anxiety on-the-go. Using breathing exercises, relaxing music and games designed to calm the mind, the app helps you change negative thoughts to help you better cope with life’s ups and downs.
